BROTHER'S NEST

Label Distribution will release Brother's Nest, the new film directed by Clayton Jacobson, starring brothers Shane and Clayton Jacobson, across Australia on 10 May 2018.

The film had its World Premiere at SXSW in Austin, Texas last month, receiving rave reviews with The Hollywood Reporter commenting that the film is “an Aussie spin on the kind of bloody farce we expect from Ben Wheatley or the Coens... a comedy that's blacker than pitch.”
Rolling Stone USA added it is “a funny, messed-up and moving tale that's part Greek tragedy, part character-driven theatre piece…. The discovery of the SXSW Festival”

12 years after the phenomenal success of Kenny, director and actor Clayton Jacobson reunites with his brother Shane Jacobson for what is a very different film. On a cold morning in the middle of country Victoria, two brothers arrive at the family home with treacherous intent. Terry and Jeff’s motive is to make sure their dying mother’s plan to change her will in favour of her husband, their stepfather, is upturned.  It is all meticulously planned, but there is one crucial thing the boys didn’t take into account - spending an entire day together. Old grudges, different worldviews and a general troubled history will pit these two brothers against each other. Brother's Nest is a pitch-black tragic comedy about family, loyalty and murder – demonstrating that ‘brotherly love’ has its limits.

Written by Jaime Browne and Produced by Jason Byrne, Brother's Nest also features Kym Gyngell, Lynette Curran and Sarah Snook.
