PALACE CENTRAL CINEMAS BRING ULTIMATE CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE TO SYDNEY

November 2017

Palace Cinemas have opened their newest Sydney location - Palace Central - on level 3 of the multi-award winning development, Central Park in Chippendale.

The architecturally impressive cinema space, offering unparalleled style and comfort, is the new home to 10 boutique auditoria and 3 platinum cinemas.

Palace Central will bring the very best new release films and Palace’s iconic collection of international film festivals to Sydney film-lovers, continuing the Palace Group’s renowned passion for cinema and hospitality.

The new cinemas will showcase this summer’s best films including Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me By Your Name, Alexander Payne’s Downsizing, Andy Serkis’ Breathe, Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman, the French hit Just To Be Sure and, of course, Star Wars is on-sale now!

Palace Central boasts multiple lounges and bar areas with sweeping views over one of Sydney’s most exciting urban spaces.

Customers will want to arrive early to take advantage of all that Palace Central has to offer. There is a large beer hall with an extensive variety of local and international craft beers, a champagne bar and, for wine connoisseurs, an interactive wine wall offering tastings of exclusive collectable wines such as Penfolds Grange! The dining options include produce from leading provedores, including daily desserts from the acclaimed local Brickfields bakery.

CEO of Palace Cinemas, Benjamin Zeccola, is proud of the selection of superlative wines available at Palace Central’s wine wall, an Australian first.

“I was drawn into a wine bar at the Berlinale by a display of great bottles and immediately knew we should create something similar at Palace Central; a place where some of the most famous and usually out of reach wines can be preserved yet sampled from a temperature controlled display. It’s great fun sampling Grange Hermitage against Barolo, Bordeaux and Barossa! The wine wall is a passion project that we enjoy curating almost as much as the films, so it’s done for fun and allows us to provide an amazing opportunity at accessible prices” Benjamin said.

Palace’s online booking system ensures customers can avoid the queues to further enhance their boutique cinema-going experience.

Inside, the cinemas are fitted out with stunning and innovative interiors, such as ergonomic leather chairs hand-built in Barcelona, and the luxury of plenty of room to relax.

For the brand new Palace Platinum experience, customers will be guided by friendly staff to a private bar and lounge with a curated selection of fine wines, craft beers and classic cocktails. The in-cinema dining menu includes share plates as well as delicious options from surrounding restaurants Sushizilla, Ribs and Burgers and Din Tai Fung.

Palace Cinemas Executive Chairman, Antonio Zeccola said he was looking forward to Sydney-siders getting the chance to enjoy this reimagined cinema experience.

“We have a passion for developing new opportunities within the cinema industry which allow us to engage with local communities throughout Australia. For some time now, I’ve felt there was a need for a superb, boutique cinema experience in central Sydney. I’m incredibly passionate about this project, it gives me great satisfaction to offer the best cinema in the world. Palace Central is my gift to the city of Sydney."

Palace Central Cinemas is located on Level 3, Central Park Mall, 28 Broadway, Chippendale.
